I am a contemporary landscape artist based in the South Downs near Lewes, East Sussex.

I studied fine art at college before exploring the philosophy of art and aesthetics as a postgraduate. Working predominantly in oils, my expressive, semi-abstracted paintings are inspired by the elemental energy of immersion in wild spaces: real and imagined, experienced and remembered, exploring our primitive relationships and responses to the natural world. I am very lucky to have rolling hills, vast forest, patchwork fields, dramatic cliffs and mercurial coastline on my doorstep, but I also take inspiration from landscapes further afield. I work plein air or in the studio from photographs or watercolour sketches.

I am proud to be a member of Burgess Hill Artists, an eclectic Sussex based group, and The New Art Rebellion, an online platform supporting global emerging artists.
