I am a contemporary landscape artist based in the South Downs, UK.
Inspired by the local landscape and further afield, I work predominantly in oils- I love the feel of the paint working across the canvas, making alla prima paintings using swift, expressive strokes, working into the paint to build and sculpt the image. I also make sketches and studies in Indian ink and charcoal.
I studied fine art at college before researching the philosophy of art and aesthetics at university- exploring ideas in theory and in practice.
I am proud to be a member of the New Art Rebellion, a global art collective supporting emerging artists instagram/TheNewArtRebellion, and Burgess Hill Artists, an eclectic Sussex based group: www.burgesshillartists.co.uk
In 2020 I was excited to be shortlisted in the Sketches for Survival "Wild Spaces" catagory.
Please contact me if you have any enquiries about my work or would like information about commissions.
